아톰 프로세서 2.0GHz 출시 임박!

Intel is reportedly planning on launching a new model in its range of Intel Atom Z5xx-series processors.  The Intel Atom Z550 runs at 2.0GHz, making it the fastest clock-speed Atom, while offering the same 2.4W TDP power, 512KB L2 cache and 533MHz FSB.

The new Z550 will slot in above the current highest-speed Atom chip, the Z540, which clocks in at 1.86Ghz.  It’s unclear whether the Atom Z550 will be targeted at netbooks or MIDs, or potentially both.  Hopefully Sony will catch sight of the new chip and upgrade their VAIO P, the US version of which could certainly do with a speed boost.

Yesterday news leaked about Intel’s upcoming mainstream processor plans for the next few months.  They’re expected to announce two new Core i7 CPUs, taking high-end clock speed for the range to 3.33GHz.

드디어 아톰 프로세서도 2.x가 나오기위해 준비 하고 있단다.

인텔 입장에서도 참 난감한 녀석인게, 푼돈 벌어보자고 소형 시작을 노리려 댐빈게

오히려 메인보다 더 잘나가는 녀석이 되어 버렸으니..

새로 꺼낸 무기인 i7 프로세서는 가격도 가격이지만 오히려 메인보드의 가격이 더 문제로 보급화는 실질상

언제 되련지 모르겠고하니 잘나가는 넷북에서 좀 벌자는건데.. 이게 또 가격도 막 못올릴꺼다.

보급화&저가 어쩌고가 기본인 전략이기에.. 이거 가격올려서 30쯤 잡으면 실제상 Core2Duo와 가격차가

그리 심하게 되지 않는단 말씀.. 그러니 가격 상한이 자체적으로 잡혀있고.. 안내자니 ViA와 AMD 눈치가..

저가/보급 시장을 목표로 해야할 것이 환율과 실물경제등으로 인해 소형화 기기는 안팔리고,

오히려 상대적으로 저가인 아톰을 기반으로 넷탑을 만들어 파니 새로운 플렛폼은 안나가고..

정말 계륵이다.. 인텔 입장에선...ㅋ 그나마 위안이란건 하이엔드 유저층은 그래도 살아 남은 거..

여러모로 인텔 운영측도 참 피곤할 것이여.. 다독다독.. 돈 잘 벌엇으니 이제 좀 쉰다 생각하길..
